A Healing Room?
A Healing Room, simply put, is merely a place where people can come for Healing Prayer from a team of Prayer Ministers specifically trained on how to pray with you to receive physical healing. Usually located in place not affiliated with any church or denomination, Healing Rooms welcome people from all backgrounds and faith traditions to receive Healing through the Power of Jesus.

Purpose + Background
Purpose
Our purpose is a simple one. We bring together people from many different Christian backgrounds and experiences to come in unity to pray for the sick with compassion and faith in Jesus Christ and His power to heal. Each time God touches someone and they are better or healed, we are reminded that His Word is true. Indeed He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8.
Background
Fountain of Living Waters Healing Room is a Christ-centered ministry of people from many different Christian backgrounds and experiences. We have come together in unity to pray for the sick with compassion and faith in Jesus Christ and His power to heal. We were birthed from a vision of a group of people who fell in love with "being Jesus" to those in need. Our Founding Senior Team were all trained under Rush and Barbie Hunt at Main Street Prayer Center/Healing Rooms of Hopkins County in Madisonville,KY in August of 2017. After that training our Directors, who are also the Founders of RIVER Ministries, opened up The RIVER Center to be the host location of Fountain of Living Water Healing Room as one of the streams of Ministry that flow from there. With prayer and trust in Holy Spirit to provide, they, along with our Founding Senior Team,(see meet our staff page) began to meet on Thursday nights to pray for the Sick. We opened the doors and phones to those in need, and those in need started coming, and have never stopped. Application to join IAHR was made that same month and our approval came in October 2017.

What is IAHR?
We are a member of the International Association of Healing Rooms headquartered in Spokane, Washington – a ministry begun in 1999 by Reverend Cal Pierce. IAHR provides the apostolic covering for all Healing Rooms in the association. We are Healing Room #1959 and the 9th Healing Room in the State of Illinois. There are more than 3000 Healing Rooms Ministries throughout the U.S. and abroad. Joseph and Carolyn Dutton are our directors and are accountable to IAHR state Director Jean Whitstone and International Directors, Cal and Michelle Pierce.

History of Healing Rooms
The John G. Lake Healing Rooms originally started in 1914 when Dr. Lake began teaching on the subject of Divine Healing in a local church in Spokane, Wash. Dr. Lake rented a group of rooms in the Rookery Building that he converted into "Lake's Healing Rooms". He began to pray for the sick on a daily basis and many came. He had to train others to help. They were trained through "a series of lectures" on divine healing designed on faith and knowledge. They were trained daily by both teaching and hands-on practical application by using God's word. Today there are Healing Rooms around the world.

Cal & Michelle Pierce(our Apostles)
Cal Pierce is the International Director of Healing Rooms Ministries and the International Association of Healing Rooms. He oversees this growing ministry along with his wife Michelle. Cal travels extensively worldwide speaking at conferences throughout the year, teaching on healing and casting the vision to see Healing Rooms in every city in every nation as well as training and releasing the Body of Christ to be Kingdom people walking in power and authority with signs, wonders, and miracles following them! Michelle is an international speaker who brings forth the encouraging and enlightening Word of God in a way that opens people's hearts. Together, their desire is to equip and release the Body of Christ to do the work of the ministry and to establish healing around the world.
For twenty-five years Cal and Michelle attended Bethel Assembly of God Church in Redding, California where Cal served as Elder and a Board Member. When revival came in June 1996, Cal was powerfully touched. God gave him an insatiable hunger to learn about healing and past revivals.
A year later, God led them to Spokane, Washington. During a 40-day fast and much prayer, Cal heard God say to him: "There is a time to pray and a time to move." He, along with intercessors, re-dug the generational wells of healing in Spokane. On July 22nd, 1999 the Healing Rooms Ministries was opened. In 2000 they both were ordained and today the ministry has expanded to over 3000 Healing Rooms in 52 countries and continues to grow weekly.

What Happens in a Healing Room?
When you arrive at the Healing Room you will be greeted by one of the staff who serve as our Office Manager. While enjoying some refreshments in our reception area the Office Manager will have you fill out some completely confidential forms so that the prayer team will know what prompted your visit. Once the forms are filled out you will be taken to the meeting area to "soak" in the presence of The Lord while some worship music plays and the prayer team assigned to your case prepares by listening to Holy Spirit regarding your needs. A three member team of caring, trained volunteers will pray with you for your specific need. Those praying for you are ordinary people who will be the first to tell you they have no special powers. But they do have a heart of love and a strong faith in God. Simply stated, they are acting as a conduit of God's love when they pray for you. The 20-30 minute prayer sessions are held in the privacy of the prayer room located in The RIVER Center. All sessions are confidential. No walk in appointments are necessary, but if you desire a phone session you will need to schedule a time. Dress is casual. No fees are charged but donations are gladly accepted to help cover the costs of the ministry. (no money received goes to any staff or the founders, 100% of it is used for the day to day operations of all ministries hosted in The RIVER Center.
